BCCK Holding Company to Enhance Recoveries at Cryogenic Gas Facility in Marcellus-Utica Basin

BCCK Holding Company has been awarded an EPC contract to improve overall project economics at a cryogenic gas facility in the Marcellus-Utica Basin, in southeastern Ohio, United States.

Drawing upon its vast experience with cryogenic gas processing and natural gas liquids (NGL) extraction, BCCK developed a simple and effective modification that will improve on the existing cryogenic plant design and equipment, increasing propane recovery and associated revenue in the process. The project will utilize a skidded BCCK patent-pending design, which will be available to enhance propane recoveries at many of the existing 200 MMSCFD gas subcooled process (GSP) facilities operating throughout the United States.

Brian Petko, senior vice president of engineering, BCCK, said, “BCCK is further expanding our portfolio in natural gas cryogenic processing with the addition of this patent-pending technology that enhances recoveries at existing GSP cryogenic facilities. We are excited to be working with one of the premier midstream groups in the Marcellus-Utica Basin, who is our latest client desiring higher realized revenue from their product. We were ultimately selected due to our overall process design and flexibility of offering.”

The full EPC project will draw upon all of the BCCK Holding companies: BCCK Engineering for detailed engineering and design; NG Resources for fabrication; and NGF Construction for field installation.

225 MMSCFD C2R-Flex

225 MMSCFD cryogenic expander facility utilizing BCCK’s patent pending C2R-Flex technology design used to maximize customer’s needs in ethane recovery and rejection. BCCK provided the engineering, procurement and construction services for this project.  The project includes a high pressure HARP style slug catcher designed for 1640 BBL/D capacity. The project includes electric driven residue compression, 750 GPM amine system, molecular sieve dehydration with regeneration system, cryogenic system with expander, fuel gas system, instrument air system, propane refrigeration, two hot oil systems and full plant flow emergency flare. The facility is equipped with a Central Control Room and three (3) PDC buildings for plant power distribution. This project was executed by the BCCK Holding family of companies and is located in Weld County, Colorado. This project had a startup date of September 2019.

BCCK Holding Company Enters Into EPC Contract With Blue Mountain Midstream, LLC

BCCK Holding Company (BCCK), a leader in engineering, procurement, fabrication and field construction services, has entered into an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract with Blue Mountain Midstream, LLC, for delivery of the Chisholm Trail Cryogenic Gas Plant in Oklahoma, U.S. Blue Mountain Midstream, previously LINN Midstream LLC, is a subsidiary of LINN Energy, Inc.

All three of the BCCK Holding companies: BCCK Engineering; NG Resources and NGF Construction will work together and with Blue Mountain Midstream to supply BCCK’s 225 MMSCFD RSV Cryo Plant. Construction of the plant has already begun with commissioning slated for Q2 2018.

R. Clark Butts, CEO, BCCK, said, “In this project, BCCK is providing ‘off-the-shelf’ benefits with the advantage of custom-designed efficiencies for Blue Mountain Midstream. Our 225 MMSCFD RSV design, along with full EPC capabilities, allows for a financially competitive package by avoiding layering of margins, while offering improved recoveries from standard or modified GSP designs. We guarantee our design flow and recoveries to the client’s specific gas, therefore eliminating the concern of derating a plant. The BCCK teams are excited to work with Blue Mountain Midstream and we look forward to a successful collaboration on this project.”
