BCCK Partners with Vision RNG to Pave Pathway to Carbon Neutrality in Ohio Landfills

BCCK, a leader in engineering, procurement, fabrication and field construction services, announces a strategic partnership with Vision RNG, a full-service developer of landfill gas (LFG) infrastructure, to deliver its NiTech® Single Tower Nitrogen Rejection Units (NRU) and amine systems to Vision RNG’s LFG worksites in Ohio.

Under the agreement, BCCK will provide two NiTech® Single Tower NRUs and amine systems to two landfill gas processing sites — one in Seneca County, Ohio,  and one in Perry County Ohio. Both sites are owned by WIN Waste Innovations, the sustainable waste services and disposal provider that has contracted Vision RNG to develop gas conversion capabilities at both sites.

Fraser McDowell, director of strategy and business development (renewables), BCCK, said, “BCCK is proud to partner with Vision RNG to aid their efforts in reducing environmental impact by providing clean, sustainable energy for today’s customers. Our NiTech® technology provides best-in-class methane recovery that yields improved revenue streams while reducing greenhouse gas emissions.”

BCCK’s exclusive NiTech® NRU technology is engineered to deliver optimal methane recovery while minimizing the environmental impact. The proprietary cryogenic technology features a flexible design with minimal equipment and requires low power consumption, making it an ideal pairing for Vision RNG’s projects.

Bill Johnson, chief executive officer, Vision RNG, said, “Partnering with BCCK was a natural choice for us on these projects given their proven track record in larger scale NRU technology. Their commitment to sustainability aligns with our mission of driving positive change in the renewable energy sector. Together, we are ready to set new benchmarks for greenhouse gas reduction and sustainable energy production.”

BCCK Holding Company Signs Contract With Archaea Energy for High BTU Landfill Gas to Energy Plant

BCCK Holding Company (BCCK), a leader in engineering, procurement, fabrication and field construction services, has signed an agreement with Archaea Energy to provide a 13,700 SCFM Style IV NiTech® Nitrogen Rejection Unit (NRU) to the world’s largest high BTU landfill gas to energy plant in Pennsylvania, U.S.

BCCK’s patented NiTech® technology performs a key role in transforming landfill gas into nearly 100% pure renewable natural gas. BCCK’s NRUs, which are engineered in-house and fabricated at BCCK’s fabrication facility, deliver less footprint, less compression requirements in terms of horsepower, at reduced CAPEX to alternative solutions on the market.

There have been four major revisions to the NiTech® process design over the past three decades. Style IV features a new, modular skidded design that allows greater flexibility with respect to compositional changes or flow capacity changes than ever before. With lower required horsepower compression and higher recovery, NiTech® is a simple, flexible and efficient NRU.

John Peterson, senior vice president of business development, BCCK, said, “BCCK is continuing to further expand our presence in the renewable gas industry and our patented technology is contributing to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. We are very excited to be working with Archaea Energy at the largest high BTU landfill gas plant in the world, while providing the renewable gas market with another landfill gas NRU. To date, we have successfully completed 30 NRUs in our 40-year history and we are proud to play a role in a renewable industry that helps in the reduction of greenhouse gases.”

BCCK Holding Company to Deliver NiTech® Cryogenic Nitrogen Removal for Landfill Gas-to-energy Project

BCCK Holding Company (BCCK), a leader in engineering, procurement, fabrication and field construction services, will provide its NiTech® cryogenic nitrogen removal process as part of a complete, high-btu gas cleaning system for a landfill gas-to-energy plant in Washington State, USA.

Klickitat Public Utility District (PUD) selected BCCK’s unique NiTech® technology to perform a key role in transforming landfill gas into nearly 100% pure renewable natural gas at the H.W. Hill Landfill Gas to Energy plant, located at the Roosevelt Regional Landfill in the Klickitat County of Washington State.

John Peterson, vice president business development, BCCK, said, “Landfill-derived renewable natural gas has the lowest full-cycle CO2 emissions of all transportation fuels, including emissions attributed to electric vehicles. The Klickitat NiTech® Nitrogen Removal Unit (NRU) will be used to remove nitrogen from methane gas collected from the landfill. We will provide a dehydration system in front of the NiTech® NRU to dehydrate from the upstream solvent process. Our NiTech® NRU will process 7.2 MMSCFD of gas and will be guaranteed to recover 99.5% of the methane.”

Kevin Ricks, Klickitat PUD, said, “We are proud to operate one of the largest, cleanest and most efficient landfill gas-to-energy projects anywhere in the world. The next stage of our project, transforming landfill gas into renewable natural gas, is of vital importance and we selected BCCK to support us with their NiTech® technology due to their proven track record and the depth of the experience demonstrated by their engineering and manufacturing teams.”
