Kevin Blount has more than 30 years of experience serving in a variety of senior management roles across a wide spectrum of business activities including operations, engineering, sales and marketing, business development and M&A. Blount is involved in all aspects of BCCK including sales and marketing, engineering, project management, QA/QC and overseeing the entire family of BCCK companies. He holds a master’s degree in business administration from Wolverhampton University in the UK.
Charles N. Hughes, CPA serves as Corporate Controller for BCCK where he leads the accounting team and oversees the finance, financial reporting and treasury functions of the company. He has an extensive background in business accounting best practices, asset management, assurance, consulting and construction. Prior to joining BCCK, Hughes served as Principal Consultant with Hughes Reserves and Asset Management, LLC (HRAM). During his tenure with HRAM, he was responsible for capital budgeting engagements with major brands in the golf and hospitality industries including Troon Privé, The Ritz-Carlton, Four Seasons, and Westgate Resorts, among others. Hughes was also an Audit Manager with Weaver and Tidwell, LLP, primarily serving clients in the construction, energy, and government industries. He is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in California and Texas and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from California State University – San Marcos.
Grant L. Scherzer joined BCCK as Senior Corporate Counsel in 2017 and was named General Counsel in 2018. He has over 25 years of litigation and transactional experience with an emphasis on energy and general corporate legal matters. Prior to joining BCCK, he served as legal counsel with EOG Resources, Centex Corporation and Fidelity National Title Insurance Company. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas and the State Bar of New Mexico. He received his juris doctorate from the University of Tulsa College of Law and his Bachelor of Arts in telecommunications from Texas Tech University.
Naomi Baker is Vice President of Engineering for BCCK with responsibilities for the process, mechanical, and I&E groups. With over 30 years of midstream experience, Naomi previously worked for both major and independent energy companies, including management roles in engineering, operations, design, project management and business development. Prior to joining the company, she was Director of Operations and Technical Services with Navitas Midstream Partners. She is co-inventor on multiple patents in the US and Canada on NGL recovery from high CO2 gas. Naomi is a licensed professional engineer in Texas and has a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Texas Tech University.
Thomas A. Alleman, P.E. Vice President of Engineering – Electrical and Instrumentation
Thomas A. Alleman, P.E., serves as Vice President of Engineering – Electrical and Instrumentation and has been with BCCK for 15 years. Alleman is a licensed professional engineer in control systems engineering and electrical power, and is licensed in Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Colorado and New Mexico. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from the Missouri University of Science and Technology (formerly University of Missouri – Rolla). Before joining BCCK, Alleman worked as a systems engineer for GE Oil & Gas and a project engineer for Petrotech Incorporated.
Angel D. Valles, P.E. Director of Mechanical Engineering
Angel D. Valles, P.E., serves as BCCK’s Director of Mechanical Engineering, responsible for technical oversight for all mechanical engineering and mechanical design activity and ensuring overall project performance and execution. He has more than 20 years of experience in the oil and gas industry and has served in various engineering and senior management roles throughout his career. Valles’ experience includes cryogenic natural gas plant design, enhanced oil recovery facility design, pipeline design, equipment sizing and specification, pipe stress analysis, vibration analysis, energy forecasting and hedging. He is a licensed professional engineer and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Texas A&M University.
Jamey Wasson serves as Director of Process Engineering for BCCK. He is a returning employee who has supported BCCK’s clients for a total of eight years including three years as an independent consultant. With more than 30 years of experience in both the midstream and upstream industries, he has held a variety of roles focusing on crude oil and natural gas gathering and processing, as well as refinery maintenance and operations. Formerly with Sid Richardson Energy (and later known as Southern Union Gas and Energy Transfer), his expertise includes systems engineering, field and plant management and process engineering. Wasson holds a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering from Texas Tech University.
Amy M. Ontiveroz serves as Director of Project Management for BCCK. Ontiveroz delivers strategic project direction and provides guidance for the project execution team. With 20 years of experience in project management at BCCK and having previously served as Project Director, Ontiveroz has successfully completed numerous NRU projects and full EPC gas processing facilities. With a strong emphasis on project controls, customer transparency and effective communication, Ontiveroz is a firm believer of measuring key metrics to successfully manage projects. Born and raised in Odessa, Texas with a structural steel fabrication background, Ontiveroz also served as a project engineer for Ameripol Synpol, a synthetic rubber manufacturing plant in her hometown prior to joining BCCK. Ontiveroz holds a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from Texas Tech University.
