Nitrogen Rejection
In 2005, Hiland Energy Partners chose BCCK for design and installation of their Badlands Gas Plant in North Dakota. Hiland chose the patented Nitech™ NRU to reduce increasing volumes of nitrogen in their fire flood project from as high as 80% to a target of 10%. BCCK's solution included integrated NGL extraction with the Nitech™ NRU process, CO2 extraction, and liquid product fractionation. As a result, Hiland was able to sell multiple NGL product streams including propane. Since August 2007, this Nitech™ NRU has operated in extreme climates and has enabled Hiland to generate sellable gas, fuel gas, and liquids from a previously unmarketable resource.
