bcck project profiles
Below are a few project profiles showing BCCK’s technology being used at different facilities. BCCK specializes in nitrogen rejection, helium recovery, carbon dioxide removal and/or carbon dioxide sequestration, coal mine methane, and oxygen removal. BCCK is well known for our patented Nitech™ NRU technology. BCCK has completed more than 17 Nitech™ NRU facilities.

- Nitech™ NRU project: 20 MMSCFD - Chunchula, Alabama
The client is located north of Chunchula, Alabama. In 2002, UNOCAL chose BCCK’s Nitech™ NRU process to reject increasing concentrations of nitrogen from an associated nitrogen flood in order to generate additional revenue and increase profits. The patented Nitech™ NRU was selected because it was the most cost
effective method to reduce inlet nitrogen volumes, due to flexibility and the CO2 tolerance of the Nitech™ process.
-
Nitech™ NRU Project: 43 MMSCFD - Bowman, North Dakota
In Southwestern North Dakota, producers are injecting air into oil producing reservoirs in order to increase the temperature in the reservoir and to decrease the viscosity of the crude oil. In addition, the reservoir pressure is increased facilitating increased production. BCCK employed a proven process designed to remove
residual amounts of oxygen coming from the reservoir that had not taken part in the combustion process.
- Nitech™ NRU project: 48 MMSCFD - paden, oklahoma
An existing facility with NGL and Condensate Extraction, the Nitech™ NRU is located in Paden, OK, east of Oklahoma City. For this particular facility, condensate, NGL, Carbon Dioxide and water are removed upstream of the NRU. In November, 2006, BCCK designed and constructed a Nitech™ NRU to remove nitrogen from a
slip stream of facility gas.
-
Nitech™ NRU project: 15 MMSCFD - seminole, texas
The Gaines County NRU 2 is the second Yates Gas processing facility that uses BCCK’s Nitech™ technology to successfully process commercially viable volumes of high nitrogen natural gas. The turnkey project included a 15 MMSCFD nitrogen rejection unit and engineering related to installation of NRU equipment and leased
compression.
-
Ultra high CO2 removal and Nitech™ NRU project: 200 MMSCFD - RILEY RIDGE, WYOMING
This Wyoming gas project is a carbon dioxide extraction facility that utilizes a BCCK designed fractionation and methanol process for a high carbon dioxide stream. The facility will provide liquid carbon dioxide for re-injection, thus reducing required injection horsepower, as well as crude grade helium and pipeline quality natural gas.
